A Brief Note About Words

Words have a life of their own: we are born into the already existing meanings of words, and, as such, they direct our lives without us even knowing it. We become trapped in language, and in order to free ourselves from this trap, we first have to see that we are trapped in words.

Words continue to have a wider grip over us than ever in today's world. So many groups protest the use of certain words that we are facing the danger of losing our freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is the ability to say whatever is on our minds without repercussion. Children have this ability to speak the truth they see, but it is quickly eradicated from them by the time they are four or five. They quickly learn what it means to be polite. That means to lie. We have lost our right to speak the truth, and the truth is paramount to our freedom.

This is part of what is called training and conditioning, and what I call "thinking is thinking you." The training and conditioning, per se, is not destroying us and our world, but our acceptance and continuation of the programming is. We are living our lives from the past.

Can we break this chain of conditioning and the trap words have us in and free ourselves?
